Here at FLOWERS IN THE AVENUE we take your privacy very seriously.
We obviously need to collect information about you to fulfil your order efficiently but rest assured that all details will be stored securely.
Information we collect from you:
- Your name
- Your Address
- Telephone numbers
- E mail address
- Credit/debit card details
- Recipients name
- Recipients address
- Recipients telephone numbers
We will never pass any information we collect on to a third party except to execute delivery of your flowers.
We will not store your credit card details, once payment is verified your card number will be shredded unless you expressly ask us to keep it on file for future orders.
Our privacy policy will only be overridden if required by law.
Terms and Conditions
By placing an order online or by telephone with FLOWERS IN THE AVENUE Ltd you are agreeing to abide by the following terms and conditions. Please read before placing your order.
1. Orders
1.1 Changes to your order
We will always do our best to change your order for you but can only guarantee changes made at least 24 hours before delivery. Just contact us by telephone during working hours or fill in the call me back box online and your personal florist will contact you.1.2 Cancellations
Cancellations must be made 48 hours before delivery for a full refund, telephone FLOWERS IN THE AVENUE on 01428 727898. Refunds will be made to the credit or debit card used to place the order.1.3 Cut off times
Orders for the same day delivery must be received by midday. Orders for the next day delivery must be received by 4pm.1.4 Sympathy Flowers
The name of the deceased, the time of the funeral and the full postal address of the funeral director must be included on all sympathy orders. We cannot accept responsibility for non delivery of flowers for funerals if details are incomplete.
2. Addresses
Full postal addresses must be supplied for both you and the recipient. If you are not sure of a postcode go to www.royalmail.co.uk, click on find a postcode, fill in your delivery address, they provide a code for you to type in and the postcode will be provided. Your address and postcode details are important to process payment details, please ensure that you use the name and address that the card is registered to. Should there be a problem with delivery we may need to contact you so do provide daytime contact numbers as well.
3. Payment
We accept payments online through PayPal's secure checkout system, accepting most major credit cards. Our website has a secure checkout so your details are safe with us. Occasionally we experience problems processing a card payment. We will contact you immediately if there is a problem so that we can still deliver your order on time. Usually the problem is just a digit typed incorrectly and is easy to resolve. We cannot however be held responsible for late deliveries due to non validated payments.

4. Delivery
4.1 Guaranteed morning or afternoon deliveries
Guaranteed morning or afternoon deliveries deliveries will always take priority, if you have any problems with timed deliveries please contact us immediately and we will refund the timed delivery charge.4.2 Delivery if the recipient is not in
Our driver will always try to leave your delivery in a secure place at the delivery address and leave a card to explain where the flowers have been left. We cannot be held responsible for theft of flowers left securely at a delivery address. If there is nowhere secure to leave the flowers at the delivery address the flowers may be left with a neighbour and a card will be left at the delivery address. We cannot be held responsible for non delivery of flowers left with neighbours.4.3 Late delivery due to adverse weather conditions
Our drivers will always do their best to deliver your order on time. In the rare event that the weather makes driving dangerous we will suspend deliveries. We will contact you immediately by telephone or email and the delivery will be made as soon as it is safe to do so, we will also refund your delivery charge.4.4 Deliveries to hospitals
Some hospitals do not allow flowers on the wards or in specialist areas. We cannot be held responsible for non acceptance of flowers in hospitals. You are responsible for checking whether hospitals have a no flower policy
5. Substitution and availability
5.1 Substitution
We carefully design our collections to include flowers which are available all year round but due to the seasonal nature of our products we may occasionally have to substitute a particular variety of flower. In these cases we will always substitute products to the same or a greater value than those photographed.5.2 Quality Control
Similarly, if a product arrives from market and is not up to our high standards we will substitute to the value or a greater value than is specified.5.3 Seasonal Favourites
The bouquet that is delivered may not be exactly the same as the design in the photograph but you can rest assured that your florist will create a stunning bouquet for you. A colour choice is available via the drop down menu but we cannot be held responsible if the content is not exactly as photographed.
6. Damaged Flowers
In the unusual event that the recipient is not 100% satisfied or receives damaged flowers please contact us immediately on 01428 727898 so that we can collect the flowers and arrange one of the following:
- Either: Arrange to re-send the flowers
- Or: Give a full refund
7. The Life of our Flowers
We endeavour to do all we can to ensure that your flowers reach their destination in peak condition. Please follow the care instructions on the back of your message card and your flowers will give you pleasure for many days. If you have any problems with the shelf life of your flowers contact us and we will assess the problem. If the flowers have been properly cared for we will replace the flowers at our discretion.
